We are looking for a meticulous Insurance Coordinator to oversee and streamline insurance-related processes within our organization. This role requires an individual with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to ensure the accurate and timely management of insurance claims. The successful candidate will collaborate with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to maintain compliance and optimize operational efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Verify and confirm insurance policy details to ensure coverage aligns with services provided
Communicate effectively with insurance companies to address coverage issues and resolve disputes
Educate patients or clients about their insurance benefits, co-payments, and coverage details
Maintain and update comprehensive records of insurance coverage, authorizations, and payments
Ensure compliance with all current insurance regulations and industry standards
Work closely with the billing department to accurately process payments and insurance remittances
Assist in managing patient balances and collecting co-payments as needed
Resolve issues related to denied or underpaid insurance claims in a prompt and efficient manner
Stay informed on changes in insurance policies and procedures to maintain organizational compliance
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
a degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance verification, particularly for IV medications
Proficiency in using insurance software systems and tools
Strong organizational skills to manage complex information with accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact with patients, insurance providers, and internal teams
Proven ability to resolve disputes and address issues related to insurance claims
Knowledge of compliance documentation and industry standards
Familiarity with healthcare provider processes and payment systems
