Job Description

The individual will ‘own’ the relationship with each of their allocated clients. The primary focus of the role is to retain the full portfolio of clients by providing high quality service during the year as well as preparing a competitive annual renewal proposal.

Job Responsibility

  • Day to day administration including: Mid-Term Adjustments ie Additions, Deletions, Amendments
  • Claims Handling including claim reporting, repudiation challenges
  • Sub-Contractor/Hire insurance checking
  • Contract Checking – typically JCT/CDM/Collateral Warranties
  • Pre-renewal/renewal meetings with customers at their premises
  • Renewal Broking
  • Renewal Report Writing

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Commercial Insurance, preferably with a Broker
  • Cert CII would be preferred although not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and broking skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with customers
  • Ability to understand a customer’s business and assess their attitude to risk
  • Passion for customer service
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a Team
  • Keen eye for accuracy and detail, even when under pressure
  • Skilled in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
  • High level of commitment, flexibility and enthusiasm
  • Sense of urgency and drive to achieve personal objectives as well as the overall company’s goals
