We are looking for an Insurance Authorization Coordinator to join our team in Saco, Maine. This role involves managing insurance-related tasks and ensuring the accuracy of patient benefit verifications. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will handle confidential patient information with professionalism and attention to detail. This is a fully onsite, long-term contract position.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct outbound calls to insurance companies to verify patient benefits and coverage details
Manage and process insurance authorizations efficiently and accurately
Maintain and update electronic medical records related to insurance verification
Use tools like Chrome, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe to facilitate daily operations
Ensure all patient information is handled in compliance with confidentiality standards
Collaborate with healthcare staff to address insurance-related inquiries or issues
Monitor authorization expirations and initiate renewals as necessary
Support administrative tasks related to insurance authorization processes
Requirements:
Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls professionally
Experience working with electronic medical records systems is a plus
Strong skills in using Chrome, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe applications
Ability to manage sensitive patient information with confidentiality
Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance companies and healthcare staff
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all insurance-related processes
Familiarity with healthcare industry practices and insurance policies
Capability to work onsite during standard business hours
