Job Description

Lawes Group are working with a leading global insurance organisation who have some exciting opportunities to join their Early Careers programme on a 2 year apprenticeship. This Apprenticeship provides a unique rotational experience, spending 1 year within Claims Operations and 1 year within Underwriting Operations, giving you a full understanding of the insurance lifecycle.

Job Responsibility

  • Support underwriting teams to deliver exceptional client service
  • Record insurance risks and manage bookings
  • Prepare policy documents and process endorsements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimise efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal teams to build a strong operational understanding
  • Assist in delivering the organisation’s claims strategy
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure claims are handled efficiently and to required standards
  • Develop the skills and confidence needed to support customers and brokers effectively
  • Supporting underwriting and claims teams with daily tasks
  • Learning how risks are recorded, processed, and managed
  • Understanding the claims journey from notification to settlement
  • Attending training sessions and working toward professional qualifications
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple business functions

Requirements

  • Minimum A-levels (grade C or above) or equivalent
  • GCSE including high level in Mathematics and English
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Adaptable, solutions-focused, and eager to develop professionally
  • Strong team player with a “can-do” attitude and desire to learn
