Flight Centre is looking for a commercially savvy and driven Insurance & Ancillary Product Specialist to join our Global Product team. This is a newly created role sitting within the Flights & Ancillaries category, with a mandate to grow attachment rates, drive ancillary revenue, and build the strategies and tools that help our consultants confidently sell insurance and ancillary products across all markets and channels.
Job Responsibility:
Own Ancillary Strategy & Performance Develop and execute the global strategy for Insurance and branded ancillary products, setting and monitoring attachment rate targets and identifying performance gaps by region, category, and channel
Lead Insurance Product Take primary ownership of Insurance product strategy
Work with our supply teams and insurance partners to develop compelling coverage options, pricing, and promotional strategies that meet diverse customer needs across all markets
Ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
Drive Cross-Category Integration Partner with internal teams to ensure ancillary products are embedded into category strategies, packages, and campaigns
Enable Consultants to Sell Build comprehensive training programs, selling tools, and resources that give consultants the confidence and knowledge to recommend and sell ancillaries
Address barriers to sales through data-driven solutions and targeted enablement
Build Supplier Partnerships with insurance providers and ancillary suppliers, working with our Supply teams to secure co-op support and promotional offers
Monitor & Report Performance Provide regular performance analysis and reporting with actionable insights across attachment rates, TTV contribution, revenue, and margin
Requirements:
7+ years of travel industry experience with strong product management or commercial focus
3+ years of experience in Insurance or ancillary product management within the travel industry
Deep knowledge of travel insurance products, pricing structures, coverage types, and regulatory requirements
Proven track record in driving attachment rate improvement and ancillary revenue growth
Strong commercial acumen and data analysis skills
Experience developing training programs and consultant enablement materials
Ability to influence and collaborate across functions without direct authority
Experience working across multiple markets and adapting strategies for local needs
Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Insurance, Risk Management or related field (preferred)
