Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Instrumentation Lab Technician for our client based out of Greensboro, NC. This assignment is anticipated to be a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first-shift Monday–Friday schedule.

Job Responsibility:

  • Check-in / check-out of all instrumentation lab equipment
  • Serve as the super user for the internal asset management database (IndySoft)
  • Track and maintain equipment inventory
  • Troubleshoot, verify, and document issues with lab equipment
  • Follow established instrumentation procedures to support engineers with on-time equipment delivery (based on GHOST Requests)
  • Prioritize calibration activities and coordinate with calibration vendors
  • Manage equipment storage locations, labeling, and organization
  • Maintain strong relationships with engineering staff and other internal stakeholders
  • Support 5S procedures to ensure a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform electrical-related tasks including soldering, wiring harness repairs, connector assembly, and updating wiring diagrams
  • Verify functionality of instrumentation by following documented procedures
  • Interface with internal teams and external equipment providers as needed
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, tracking, and communication

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technical field
  • Basic electrical knowledge including soldering, wiring diagrams, and harness repair
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with inventory management (preferred)
  • Familiarity with data loggers and measurement sensors (a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational ability with the proven capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Positive mindset, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented attitude
