The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking an Instrumentation Flight Test Engineer located in San Antonio, TX. You will have the unique opportunity to support Boeing Mobility, Surveillance, & Bomber portfolio products. In joining this program, you will be part of an outstanding team of technical designers & engineers making history as we shape this one-of-a-kind next generation Aircraft. Key responsibilities include test planning, configuration control, test conduct, as well as data collection and analysis in order to assure product safety, performance, and regulatory certification during all flight and ground tests. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Instrumentation Flight Test Engineers.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborating across a broad spectrum of individuals and disciplines
Developing plans for upcoming testing
Providing engineering definition and authorization for airplane configuration changes
Architecting, designing, maintaining or operating test instrumentation and specialized systems
Conducting ground and flight testing on board the aircraft
Evaluating test results and working to resolve any issues encountered
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Experience working with accelerometers, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, force sensors, strain gages, position sensors and flowmeters
Experience with calibration methods like regression, polynomial and hysteresis
Understanding of mechanical design and the ability to decipher engineering drawings
Nice to have:
Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
Experience Instrumenting Military or Commercial Derivative Aircraft
