As an Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and integrating advanced control and instrumentation systems for submarine and submersible platforms. You’ll work on exciting projects that support submarine escape and rescue capabilities, ensuring system reliability and compliance with industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative engineering solutions within a collaborative team environment at our Bibra Lake site.
Job Responsibility:
Lead instrumentation design and integration for submarine/submersible systems
Develop specifications for sensors, transmitters, and control devices for underwater environments
Support system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Requirements:
Relevant qualification in Instrumentation, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or related discipline
Demonstrated experience in instrumentation and control systems within complex technical environments
Strong knowledge of underwater sensors, pressure and temperature transmitters, and control systems
Familiarity with underwater communication protocols and systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD and PLC programming
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Working knowledge of Classification Society Rules and Regulations
Experience in submarine or submersible applications
Experience with underwater navigation systems, lighting and cameras, motor controllers, and underwater communications
Previous involvement in obsolescence remediation or asset management projects
Knowledge of reliability engineering and life-cycle support for underwater assets
Ability to work in challenging conditions and meet strict deadlines
Nice to have:
Exposure to defence or offshore environments is advantageous
