Relevant teaching certification and/or educational background in music
Demonstrated experience and expertise with Mariachi music performance and pedagogy
Proven experience teaching traditional Mariachi instruments and vocal styles, preferably at the secondary (high school) level
Willingness to accommodate after-school rehearsals and performance schedules
Experience creating curricula that reflects Mariachi traditions and is culturally responsive
Ability to effectively market and recruit students to participate in the music program
Bilingual Spanish/English is highly desired to enhance instruction and connection to the cultural roots of Mariachi

Job Responsibility
