As an Instrument Assembly Technician 3, you'll undertake a range of assembly operations, both repetitive and non-repetitive, on electronic and mechanical components. You'll follow diagrams and drawings, use various tools, conduct quality inspections, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Master the assembly process and requirements for all instruments in the production area
Assemble multiple product lines, integrating sub-assemblies into instruments
Maintain device history records and conduct basic component testing
Identify defects and recommend design/process improvements
Provide training to associates and execute basic test instructions
Conduct troubleshooting and repair work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Collaborate with various departments including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company policies
Perform standard material handling functions and follow housekeeping and safety procedures
Be willing to work overtime as needed and perform other duties as required
Requirements:
High school degree or GED with 4 years of manufacturing experience, or an AA technical degree with 1 year of experience
Experience in a regulated environment is required
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop associates
Commitment to continuous improvement and proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles
Proficiency in mechanical tools and reading technical drawings
Effective time management and ability to work in a team setting
Proficiency in English, basic computer skills, and ability to work in a repetitive environment
