Keyano College’s University Studies Department is currently seeking a Contract Instructor to teach BIO 235 Anatomy & Physiology I in Fall 2026 semester and BIO 236 Anatomy & Physiology II in Winter 2027 semester. Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.
Job Responsibility
Primarily teach their specific courses across the curriculum
Maintaining office hours and student mentorship/engagement
Maintaining professional competence and knowledge of subject matter
Requirements
Minimum: Master’s degree in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Human Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, or a closely related field.
Strong foundational knowledge across: Human anatomy (systemic and regional)
Human physiology (cellular to systemic)
Homeostasis and regulatory mechanisms
Basic pathology concepts
Demonstrated experience teaching first-year undergraduate A&P or related courses.
Proficient with the use of learning technologies
Excellent classroom management and instructional skills
Demonstrated excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills
Dependable and resourceful team member with a proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with a calm professional approach
