This full-time faculty position is on-campus and in-person. The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry in the Louise Dilworth Davis College of Science & Engineering at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, TX invites applicants for an Instructor I position in Chemistry. Expected workload for the Instructor I position is 80% teaching and 20% service (departmental, college, and/or university).

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach first-year General Chemistry courses
  • Supervise teaching assistants through associated Teaching of Chemistry courses
  • Teach one large-enrollment course and one small-to-medium enrollment course or four small-to-medium-enrollment courses each semester
  • Potential courses include: General Chemistry II Lab
  • General Chemistry I
  • General Chemistry for Engineers
  • Applied General Chemistry I
  • Applied General Chemistry 2 + Lab
