Job Description:

Full-time faculty position specializing in public speaking, teaching an Oral Communication competency course that is a requirement of the TCU Core Curriculum.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach COMM 10123 (Communicating Effectively) - four sections each fall and spring semester (80% of responsibilities)
  • Service and professional activity (20% of responsibilities)
  • Potential to help lead the department in providing excellence in skill development and understanding foundational Communication Studies principles

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in communication studies by semester start
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in undergraduate teaching
  • Expertise and experience teaching public speaking, interpersonal, and small group communication skills
  • Ability to teach all regular semester courses in person on campus across available teaching time slots five days per week
  • Commitment to providing students with an active, supportive learning environment
