Job Description:

As an Instructor at Simplilearn, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of cloud and DevOps professionals. Specifically, you will deliver content from our Cloud Computing and DevOps Certification Program, developed in collaboration with Purdue University. This program equips learners with the skills and practical experience required to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructures, implement automation workflows, and ensure smooth, secure, and efficient software delivery pipelines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct live online classes, mentor learners through hands-on labs, industry projects, and capstone assignments, and provide professional guidance drawn from your real-world experience
  • Bridge the gap between theory and practice by helping learners design CI/CD pipelines, manage multi-cloud deployments, containerize applications, and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to real-world scenarios
  • Demonstrate cloud-native architecture best practices, covering key services and platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Guide learners through DevOps tools and workflows, including Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Git, and Prometheus
  • Provide mentoring and technical feedback on projects and capstone implementations to ensure industry-ready outcomes

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in Cloud Computing, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles
  • Hands-on expertise with one or more major cloud platforms — AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Strong understanding of DevOps concepts, including continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), automation, monitoring, and container orchestration
  • Practical experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Prometheus/Grafana
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), microservices, and serverless computing architectures
  • Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in cloud environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex DevOps and cloud concepts in an engaging, accessible manner
  • A strong passion for teaching, mentoring, and staying current with the latest innovations in cloud and DevOps technologies
  • Professionalism, integrity, and empathy in all interactions with learners and team members

Nice to have:

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/DevOps Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent
  • Previous teaching, mentoring, or technical training experience, especially in an online or corporate setting
