As an Instructor at Simplilearn, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of senior cybersecurity leaders and practitioners. Specifically, you will deliver content from our CISSP Certification Training Program, designed to help learners master the (ISC)² CISSP Common Body of Knowledge and develop a deep understanding of enterprise-level security practices, governance, risk management, and operational security.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct live online classes, mentor learners through scenario-based discussions, domain-aligned problem-solving, and exam-focused strategies, and offer professional guidance based on your real-world experience in cybersecurity strategy and implementation
Bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering learners to confidently lead security programs, make risk-informed decisions, and successfully clear the CISSP certification exam
Lead learners through all eight CISSP domains, including Security & Risk Management, Asset Security, Security Architecture and Engineering, Communication & Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security Assessment and Testing, Security Operations, and Software Development Security, connecting concepts to real enterprise contexts
Create a positive, professional and inclusive learning environment
Serve as role model for students and as an ambassador for our brand, by: Exhibiting professionalism and an ethical and empathetic approach when engaging with Simplilearn staff, students, and the public
Encouraging teamwork and seek feedback for continuous improvement
Requirements:
Active CISSP certification (mandatory) in good standing with (ISC)²
ISC2 Accredited Instructor status (mandatory)
8+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security, with broad exposure across multiple security domains and enterprise environments
Strong expertise across all eight CISSP domains, including security governance, risk management, security architecture, access control, cryptography, and security operations
Demonstrated experience aligning cybersecurity programs with key frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and MITRE ATT&CK
Experience mentoring or conducting training in security leadership, governance, risk assessment, compliance, and operational security topics
Ability to simplify complex domain concepts and translate them into learnable strategies, including exam deconstruction, scenario analysis, and study techniques aligned with CISSP exam objectives
Prior teaching, mentoring, or professional training experience in live or virtual settings (preferred)
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong learner-focused approach and the ability to engage diverse audiences
Professionalism, ethical conduct, and empathy in supporting learners’ development
A passion for staying current with evolving cybersecurity standards, threat landscapes, and best practices
