Keyano College's School of Business is currently seeking Contract Instructors to teach Business courses during the Fall 2026 semester (August 26 – December 18, 2026). This position is a casual contract position on an as needed basis. Applicants must feel comfortable working in a classroom with adults of all abilities and backgrounds. The business instructors deliver quality classes and share subject matter expertise with students within the curriculum and course outline. The instructors also enter attendance and grade and perform other duties related to a teaching environment. Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB. Preference will be given to candidates currently living in Fort McMurray. Job Responsibility:
Primarily teach specific courses across the curriculum
Maintain office hours and student mentorship/engagement
Maintain professional competence and knowledge of subject matter
Carry out regularly scheduled instruction, ensuring students awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques, as well as, recruitment, tutoring and academic counseling of students
Requirements:
Minimum of a Master's in Business Administration or related field. A Bachelor's degree with significant teaching experience may be considered
Minimum of 1-year cumulative post-secondary teaching experience. Other teaching experience may be considered
Proficient with the use of learning technologies
Excellent classroom management and instructional skills
Demonstrated excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills
Dependable and resourceful team member with a proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with a calm professional approach
