The HBS AI Institute at Harvard is accepting applications for an Instructional Designer. The HBS AI Institute helps industry leaders reimagine the potential of AI in business and society through cutting-edge research and experiential learning. The Instructional Designer operates as the connector among faculty, subject matter experts, facilitators, and go-to-market teams. The role manages the end-to-end lifecycle of experiential learning asset creation for executive education and workshops, ensuring content is engaging, relevant, and delivery ready. The position combines instructional design, digital content production, and program delivery support, with extensive use and adoption of AI tools to accelerate production and continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities: Serve as an internal subject matter expert, translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences

Requirements:
Moderate to advanced fluency with AI tools, including the ability to choose, configure, and apply AI tools responsibly to accelerate content production and processes
Hands-on experience with AI tools and applications, such as: Content generation tools (e.g., LLMs for writing, summarization, and content transformation), Video generation and editing tools (e.g., AI-assisted scripting, voice, and visual production), Designing AI-driven workflows to streamline content production and iteration, Building or leveraging automations and agents to scale content creation and delivery processes
5 years of experience in instructional design or content development
Demonstrated ability to translate academic research into actionable learning for executive audiences.
Nice to have:
Demonstrated working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and architectures, including foundational models, training methodologies, fine-tuning, data pipelines, and agentic systems.
