Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist responsible for providing lifecycle support for institutional trade initiatives, conducting risk reviews, handling client accounts and operational tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires expertise in operational risk management, control testing, and capital market operations.

Job Responsibility:

participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements
assist leadership in resolving complex issues with teams
onboard client accounts, input and monitor cash payments, provide customer service, project support, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, and resolve confirmation and ISDA-related issues
provide subject matter expertise on projects and internal/industry initiatives
review and analyze functional operational tasks and present recommendations for resolving complex situations
collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
conduct process risk reviews (Walkthrough sessions)
perform control testing, metric mapping, risk analysis, and continuous monitoring
interact with EMEA business partners delivering control testing, incident reporting, and risk reviews
contribute to risk assessment for Self-Inspection Program (SIP)
develop KRI/KPI/KCI metric platform
build and manage cross-organizational relationships through collaboration
work with technical and operational partners

Requirements:

2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience
experience in operational risk management, incident management, Issue Management, Control Testing, RCSA
understanding operational incidents/events(ICT) and capable to analyze root causes
good written skills
understanding of Control Testing attributes and experience writing testing scripts and presenting results
experience in Capital Market operations/middle office operations involving static data, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, and investigations
experience with FX, equity, fixed income with functional expertise in brokerage and broker dealer services
moderate experience in Operational risk, specifically identifying and assessing Key Risks, Key Controls, and Key Risk Indicators
English language proficiency
ability to work nights
understanding process flows, process gaps and controls in Capital Market operations/middle office operations
knowledge of BCP and Risk Management

Nice to have:

understanding Capital Markets and different product taxonomies within business segments (FX, Derivatives, Brokerage)
knowing Risk function deliverables like Key Risks & Controls and testing thereof
familiarity with MIS systems
