Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist within the Derivatives Confirmation team as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Operations. Principally responsible for drafting and verifying the accuracy and completeness of OTC Derivative bi-lateral confirmations for a variety of products and business lines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Draft and verify accuracy and completeness of OTC Derivative bi-lateral confirmations
  • Minimize financial losses by reconciling trade activity between system of record and trade-related documentation
  • Ensure all economic terms and necessary protective and fallback clauses are accurately captured
  • Improve processes, controls, and procedures to improve efficiencies and mitigate risk
  • Partner with project team to develop requirements for system enhancements and assist with user acceptance testing
  • Review and analyze complex Derivatives Confirmation functions and operations
  • Serve as liaison with all lines of business, internal legal and compliance departments
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience or equivalent
  • 2+ years of drafting and/or verifying derivative OTC Confirmations
  • Strong understanding of derivative trading, product mechanics, and industry/market knowledge
  • Ability to review and understand ISDA Master and Credit Support Annex agreements
  • Extensive knowledge of use and application of ISDA Definitions, regulatory requirements, and interdependence of various ISDA documentation
  • Experience with and understanding of Calypso, Imagine, Opics, Endur, and other mainframe trading and risk management systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Nice to have:

Experience with Calypso, Imagine, Opics, Endur, and other mainframe trading and risk management systems
