The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill an Institution Unit Supervisor position. This position is based out of Oshkosh Correctional Institution in Oshkosh, WI (Winnebago County).
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the security, general living conditions and activities of all residents/persons in our care assigned to live and/or participate in programs on the housing unit(s)
Coordinates multiple discipline areas and provides supervision and direction to assigned unit staff, facilitates and evaluates unit-based work assignments, manages and directs resident conduct
Manages the daily unit-based services provided to residents, and monitors and maintains the physical plant
Administration of treatment programs
technical supervision, direction, and instruction of social workers and/or treatment staff for programs
maintaining and updating clinical and administrative procedures
developing appropriate program components
and performing public relations duties
Requirements:
Developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment and/or specialized programs (e.g., treatment, clinical, and/or social services, education, religious programs, structured activities)
Developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating security standards, policies and/or procedures in a secure setting
Performing supervision or lead worker related activities (e.g., assigning, directing, and/evaluating work
Establishing, maintaining, and coordinating working relationship with internal and external agencies
Participating in multi-disciplinary teams or approaches in the development, implementation and review of programs
