Job Description

We are looking for an entry-level Installer to join our security systems team in Florence, South Carolina. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who wants to build practical experience in low-voltage cabling and electronic security installations while learning from experienced technicians. You will contribute to field projects that include cameras, access control components, and network-connected devices in a collaborative, safety-focused environment. This role offers a clear path for skill development and long-term growth within the industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Support senior technicians with the setup and installation of security system components, including access control equipment, surveillance cameras, and related devices
  • Help run, secure, and organize low-voltage cabling on job sites while maintaining clean and efficient work areas
  • Assist with terminating, testing, identifying, and documenting cables to ensure systems are installed accurately and ready for use
  • Mount and connect hardware such as cameras, wireless access points, IP-based equipment, and door security components
  • Use hand tools and basic installation methods to complete assigned tasks according to project specifications
  • Follow site safety requirements and represent the team professionally when working alongside field staff and project personnel
  • Contribute to installation activities involving network cabling, low-voltage systems, and access control infrastructure
  • Communicate progress, issues, and material needs to lead technicians to help keep projects moving on schedule

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Some hands-on experience in installation, construction, cabling, or a related trade is preferred
  • Ability to work with hand tools and perform physical installation tasks safely
  • Willingness to learn new technical skills and take direction from experienced team members
  • Flexibility to work varying hours based on project demands
  • Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements, including required screening processes for all candidates
  • Familiarity with low-voltage cabling, cable installation, access control, fiber-optic work, or network cabling is a plus

  • Manage several medium- to large-sized jobs simultaneously, doing so within approved hours and margin tolerances
  • Assist the Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment
  • Drive to client sites with a company-issued vehicle to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements
  • The role supports Orange, San Diego, Inland Empire and Los Angeles Counties
  • Supervise several teams comprised of Security Installation Technician I’s and II’s
  • Installation of electrical wiring, panels, cables, and security devices
  • Troubleshoot new installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes
  • Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation
  • Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, ect.)
