The Installation Project Manager oversees and manages the execution of our millwork and cabinet installation projects. Coordinate project handoffs, oversee installation schedules, maintain site readiness, and ensure that all work stays within scope, budget, and timeline. This position requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure successful project completion. The position will require 2-3 days per week out of state travel to the Albuquerque, NM area.
Job Responsibility:
Take over projects from the sales/project management team, ensuring a clear and thorough handoff of information
Review project plans, scope of work, and budget details for accuracy before installation planning
Solicit and evaluate bids for subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and selecting qualified trades
Conduct initial site visits to verify readiness and establish site relationships
Schedule and lead preconstruction meetings with the GC, Eclipse PMs, and installation team
Oversee hollow metal handoff (doors, frames, hardware), ensuring all components are complete and scheduled
Regularly assess site conditions and provide updates on readiness and scheduling
Spend the first day on-site with the installation team to clarify expectations, address questions, and develop solutions
Monitor ongoing site readiness for deliveries and installation progress to prevent delays
Track project budgets, manage costs, and prevent scope creep
Capture and record all scope changes and change orders promptly
Maintain clear, consistent communication with customers, subcontractors, and Eclipse PMs
Provide continuous support to installation teams and PMs throughout the project
Ensure subcontractors align with schedules, meet quality standards, and process invoices accurately
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of millwork, cabinet fabrication, and installation processes
2–5 years of relevant industry or project management experience
High School Diploma or GED required
some college or BA/BS preferred
Proven experience working with subcontractors and managing schedules
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings
Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Reliable transportation and ability to travel via automobile, train, or airplane
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
