Undertake effective delivery, management, and compliance of gas installation programmes across the housing association / client contracts. This includes leading the domestic installation team, overseeing a full installs team, new installations, replacements, upgrades, and major works to ensure they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the end-to-end delivery of gas installation programmes, including boiler replacements, heating upgrades, and associated works
Oversee contractors and in-house teams to ensure works meet agreed specifications, quality standards, and timescales
Ensure installations are delivered in line with budgets and programme targets, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures
Coordinate installation works with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders to minimise disruption
Ensure full compliance with all relevant gas safety legislation, regulations, and standards
Monitor and audit gas installation works to ensure high standards of workmanship and regulatory compliance
Ensure accurate certification, records, and asset data are completed and maintained
Manage contracts and service level agreements with installation contractors and monitor contractor performance through KPIs, inspections, audits, and resident feedback
Challenge poor performance and drive continuous improvement and value for money
Produce regular performance, financial, and compliance reports for senior management
Use data and insights to improve programme delivery, efficiency, and resident outcomes
Systematically identify and deliver continuous improvement / cost savings
Requirements:
Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1)
Full UK driving licence
Proven experience managing gas installation programmes within social housing, local authority, or a regulated housing environment
Strong knowledge of gas safety legislation, compliance, and best practice
Experience managing contractors and budgets
Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
DBS check prior to commencing employment
