To carry out detailed mechanical inspection of aircraft components, parts and assemblies to confirm compliance with approved data, customer requirements and internal procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Perform incoming, in work and final inspection (including release to service) of aircraft components, parts and assemblies
Interpret engineering drawings, approved repair data, work instructions and customer specifications
Verify dimensions, tolerances, fit and condition using appropriate calibrated tools and equipment
Carry out detailed visual inspection for wear, corrosion, damage, cracking indicators, deformation and other defects
Confirm material, process and traceability documentation aligns to job requirements
Complete inspection records, job cards, certificates and release packs clearly and accurately
Raise non-conformance reports and support investigation, containment and corrective actions
Work closely with production, planning, engineering and supply chain to resolve quality or technical issues quickly
Support internal and external audits by providing objective evidence and maintaining tidy, compliant records
Ensure compliance with health and safety, human factors awareness and standard workshop controls
Requirements:
Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical or aerospace engineering
Inspection related training desirable
Experience within an EASA Part 145 or Part 21 environment is an advantage
