Job Responsibility

  • Perform thorough inspection against the relevant inspection standard & applicable EIAC requirements, as per competency approved and prepare reports/certificates
  • Keep himself updated to the internal quality requirements
  • Follow quality and technical procedures
  • Make inspection based decisions related to technical data
  • Ensures external calibration of equipment is within date prior to inspection
  • Inspection & verification by adhering to the quality standards and federal legal requirements

Requirements

  • Graduate Engineer/ Diploma Engineer – Civil / Mechanical
  • Quality foundation course
  • Safety awareness course
  • BV procedures and business model
  • TG20 guidance
  • Scaffolding full training: Foundation, ties, access & egress, component & fitting, gin wheel & rope, birdcage, tower, independent
  • Risk assessment
  • Recognition when a scaffolding is complete, full boarding, guard rails, toe boards present
  • Knowledge of the meaning of warning signs or scaffolding tagging system in use
  • Knowledge of the loading capacities of scaffolding working platform
  • Reporting of the defects
  • Knowledge of the scaffold when to be submitted to a design/calculation
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards related to scaffolding and false work
  • Familiar with EIAC requirements applicable for his/her scope
  • Application of codes and standards, project specification and procedures BS EN 12811-1, BS EN 12811-2, BS EN 12811-3, BS-EN-74-1, BS-EN-74-2, BS-EN-74-3, BS 5975
  • Fundamentals of mobile tower, fixed scaffold, stair case, slab soffit
  • 6 years of working within an engineering field related to Scaffolding with diploma in engineering discipline or 2 years of such work experience if holding Bachelor of Engineering Degree
