Job Description:

As an Inspector of Works (Electrical) at Aurecon, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical works on-site are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. You will support the Resident Engineer and project team in delivering high-quality outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitoring daily electrical construction activities and ensuring compliance with technical drawings and specifications
  • Conducting site inspections and quality checks on electrical installations
  • Reviewing electrical drawings and method statements
  • reporting discrepancies
  • Attending inspections and testing activities and documenting results
  • Issuing site memos for non-compliant works
  • Supporting monthly progress claim verification and variation orders
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspections, site activities, and progress
  • Attending site meetings and coordinating with contractors and consultants

Requirements:

  • A diploma in Electrical Engineering and registration as an Inspector of Works with BEM
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical supervision, particularly in industrial or institutional developments
  • Good knowledge of electrical systems, data centre infrastructure, and local construction practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD and BIM knowledge preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A valid driving license
