Membership of the Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI)
In-depth knowledge of construction processes and standards
Familiarity with JCT and NEC forms of contract
Strong report writing skills and attention to detail
Experience using site inspection software such as Field View or PlanRadar
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Job Responsibility

Carry out regular inspections of construction projects
Monitor progress and identify defects
Verify that all works meet the requirements of the contract documents, employer’s requirements, Building Regulations, and warranty provider standards
Produce detailed written reports with photographic evidence
Manage defect trackers
Support clients during snagging, de-snagging, and end of defect period inspections

Job Responsibility

Undertaking regular site visits to monitor progress and workmanship on residential new builds
preparing clear, detailed, and timely inspection reports with photographic evidence
verifying compliance against contractual drawings, employers’ requirements, Building Regulations, and warranty provider standards
identifying and reporting defects, discrepancies, and non-conformances
managing snagging, de-snagging, and end-of-defect inspections with clients and contractors
maintaining accurate records and ensuring reports align with company QA processes.
