Job Description:

Randstad is currently working with an exciting public sector client to find an Insights Researcher for an initial 6 Months contract with potential of extension. This role is based in Brisbane CBD with work-from-home flexibility. The Experience Insights Researcher plays a pivotal role in translating user experience insights into strategic guidance and reusable solution design. Focused on both customer and employee perspectives, the role supports alignment across digital initiatives by grounding projects in real user needs. Operating as a bridge between various business areas, this role helps ensure that experience-led thinking is embedded across programs, enabling the client to deliver more cohesive, effective, and future-ready services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and conduct qualitative research (e.g., conduct interviews, field observations, workshops) across employee and customer audiences
  • Under the guidance of the strategy design & insights lead, synthesise findings into insights, opportunity areas, and strategic narratives
  • Analyse and interpret quantitative and behavioural data to complement qualitative findings
  • Contribute to the development of personas, journey maps, and segmentation frameworks
  • Translate insights into design or strategic requirements for solution architects and delivery teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Document and communicate insights through clear reporting, visual frameworks, and presentations
  • Support continuous improvement of research and experience-led practices

Requirements:

  • 3 years’ qualitative Researcher experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • UX testing experience is a plus but not required
  • Exposure to Information Architecture - content structuring and user-centric design
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
  • Highly developed written skills (documentation, communications, and presentations)
  • Highly organised with a focus on deliverables and able to work to deadlines as required
  • Ability to perceive, manage, understand, and reason with emotions, as a team member, when working with others and when identifying the needs of disparate stakeholders with sensitivity
  • Ability to adapt and change approaches, solutions and processes when required
