Rock of Ages, a division of Polycor, is looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team. Reporting to the Director of North American Memorial Sales, this position offers a clear development path into Outside Sales. The successful candidate will begin in an inside sales role to build a strong foundation in our products, customers, estimating tools, and sales processes, before gradually transitioning into a field-based role with increased direct customer engagement. Initially, this position is office-based to provide hands-on training and close collaboration with the sales and operations teams.
Job Responsibility:
Support U.S. customers with quotations, pricing, and product guidance
Learn the full product portfolio, applications, and estimating tools
Prepare complete and accurate orders and submit them to the order entry team
Resolve discrepancies prior to submission to ensure efficient processing
Work closely with Outside Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Order Entry teams
Gradually build customer relationships and identify growth opportunities
Participate in customer visits and required trade shows as needed
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Requirements:
Strong communication and organizational skills
Sales or customer-facing experience preferred
Ability to learn technical product and estimating information
Sales experience in the granite or memorial industry is an asset
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
Experience with CRM systems is an asset (e.g., Salesforce)
Willingness to travel up to 10% during the initial phase, with increased travel as responsibilities expand
Flexibility to adjust schedule as responsibilities expand
