As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be at the heart of the business, serving as the centralized communication hub for customers, suppliers, outside sales, and logistics. Job Responsibility:
Efficiently and accurately process sales orders for non-residential construction products
Respond promptly to customer product inquiries via telephone and for walk-in clients
Develop and maintain deep product knowledge regarding hundreds of specialized construction applications and part numbers
Act as the primary point of contact, facilitating clear communication between suppliers, accounting, warehouse staff, and operations
Understand the specific project needs of a diversified customer base to provide tailored solutions
Coordinate with incoming and outgoing freight suppliers to optimize logistics and shipment efficiency
Prepare detailed customer quotes and proactively follow up to secure sales
Communicate critical information and leads to the outside sales representative team
Manage high-volume incoming calls, redirecting them to appropriate departments or servicing customer needs directly
Prioritize multiple tasks daily with a consistent commitment to detail and accuracy
Requirements:
1–2 years of experience in an inside sales or customer service-related role
Preferred post-secondary education in a general business, sales, or customer service program
Excellent skills in MS Office, including solid experience in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience with Epicor - P21 software is looked upon favorably
Excellent English skills, both oral and written
Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to a high degree of accuracy
Capable of handling demands from a variety of sources and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to take personal initiative and demonstrate a strong motivation to succeed
High ethical standards and a positive, energetic, and self-motivated attitude
