Our client is a leading stainless steel distributor serving the Southern California region. A family-owned company, they have been in the steel business for 50 years. They are looking for an inside sales representative to join their growing team who will be responsible for managing current sales accounts, contacting inactive accounts, and developing new potential prospect accounts.
Job Responsibility:
Communicate with current customers, make outbound calls to inactive and/or potential customers, and follow up on sales leads
Researching and qualifying new sales leads
Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities
Track phone calls and emails to ensure prompt responses to customer inquiries
Monitor inventory levels to ensure appropriate responses to customer inquiries
Quote entry and order entry into the organization’s ERP system
Provide management with adequate customer feedback to assist with inventory planning as well as other competitive initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of metal distribution sales experience is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Exceptional phone and cold calling skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong listening and sales skills
Motivated personality to achieve assigned sales goals
