As a member of Baxter’s sales team, you’ll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You’ll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.
Job Responsibility
Sells Baxter’s Service contracts to US customers both proactively (i.e. cold calling) and by the customer or sales representative requests or leads
Creates quotations for Service Contracts and administers sales process from identification of candidates for contracts through contract sale and support
Provide contract renewal information to existing customers
Foster and maintain customer relationships to facilitate growth with channel partners, such as the key account manager, field engineers, and the commercial sales team, assisting them to sell service contracts at different product life cycles
Proactively approach new customers to pitch the value of Baxter service contract and sell the contracts to grow market share
Achieve team and individual quotas for Service Contract Orders and Sales
Manage service contracts in Baxter system including negotiation status and agreed upon terms and conditions in the appropriate database
ensure that information is entered correctly and accurately in a timely manner
Ensure that billing and invoices are accurate
Answer contractual related questions and assist with various contract compliance initiatives
Work with Regional Field Service Managers and Account managers to determine service strategies and service eligibility for customers
Work with field service engineers and field sales in the sale of service contracts
build quotations and close sales leads turned in
Track the deals closed by the field representatives and provide accurate incentive payouts
Keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry, as well as the competitive posture of the company, and prepares activity and forecast reports as requested
Assist various technical personnel in understanding supply agreement obligations
Drafting agreements and other legal documents to ensure internal requirements are met
Maintain communication to ensure timely execution by the parties
Administer pricing changes
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience is preferred
Healthcare or software industry experience preferred
2+ years of virtual sales experience preferred
Expert in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
Proficient in reviewing, editing, and discussing legal terms and conditions
Experience using sophisticated negotiation techniques
Effective verbal and written communication, collaboration and presentation skills
Demonstrated results with developing and implementing a new commercial approach
Problem-solving mentality supported by data-driven analysis
