Are you a driven, results-oriented sales professional seeking to make a significant impact in the SLED market? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our growing DSI Tech Team as an Inside Sales Account Representative! In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving growth within the SLED market segment by selling innovative Cisco and other OEM partner solutions from an inside sales and account management perspective. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and closing deals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify and align Tier I and Tier II vendors and services with customer requirements, including Cisco, HPE, HP, Palo Alto, Crestron, Extron, DELL/EMC, and Microsoft
  • Provide accurate, timely product information, pricing, credit terms, and applicable rates to both existing and prospective clients
  • Efficiently manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously, ensuring accurate data entry and updates within the company’s sales communication software
  • Will quote and sell our vendors’ products and professional services to state and local agencies, school districts, and higher education institutions
  • Actively participate in vendor product training sessions and meetings to stay informed on the latest offerings and industry developments
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive records of customer inquiries, concerns, feedback, and complaints within the designated tracking system
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing prompt, courteous, and professional service
  • Collaborate effectively with customers, warehouse operations, service teams, and manufacturer technical support to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Communicate information clearly and concisely, effectively presenting ideas, reports, and relevant data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage workload independently while addressing issues proactively and escalating concerns to a supervisor when necessary

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of direct experience as an Inside Sales Representative or Account Manager in the SLED VAR (Value-Added Reseller) industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field from an accredited School of Business or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant job experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
