Job Description:

Telephone Service Agent - InRoom Dining (IRD Order Taker). Food and beverage enthusiast who really enjoys making guests feel at home and talking guests through menus. This role requires the ability to know the finest details of the menu and to share this expertise with guests and answer any menu questions. Food and Beverage Server allows guests to experience warm greetings, flawless table settings, precise food and beverage service, and friendly engaging demeanor through their experience, providing each guest with a dining experience that will be remembered long after their stay.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take room service orders over the phone
  • Answer questions on menu selections and check with kitchen staff
  • Answer guest questions or concerns regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines
  • Place and log call back for room service order
  • Notify guests and management of delays in service delivery
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
  • Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order
  • Complete all closing reports, including MICROS reports
  • Process all payment methods
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs

Requirements:

  • 2-3 year's previous food and beverage serving experience required
  • Must be customer and team oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
  • Excellent guest service skills and communication skills (English required)
  • Must be able to work flexible working hours, weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food & beverage laws and regulations
  • Demonstrate Excellent knowledge of Food & Beverage especially meats & Wine knowledge
  • Hospitality Graduate or Certified Service Professional required
  • Experience with working with POS system (Oracle Hospitality Symphony desirable)
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Stand and work at an extended period of time
  • Able to work outdoors in the elements of the Caribbean weather
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
