We're seeking an Advocate to handle a caseload centered around advocacy in Coroner’s Court. Associated advice related to CQC and professional regulatory advice will also be required. Job Responsibility:
Handle a predominately inquest-based workload as an advocate with an appropriate level of supervision
Act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience
Communicate effectively with a broad range of people including clients, regulators, courts and other stakeholders
Support marketing and business development activity within the team e.g. attending marketing events and client training
Build an awareness of the Firm's other services and development of effective internal and external networks
Handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols
Exercise full compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols on billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files
Requirements:
An Advocate with a demonstrable interest or previous experience in this practice area or related practice area
An enthusiastic and committed approach to inquest advocacy with a broader interest in our other work areas such as health and social care regulation, mental health law, serious medical treatment, and information governance
Advocacy experience is ideal
Excellent relationship and client handling skills
Highly motivated, sharing our commitment to providing excellent service to our clients
Ability to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an ‘academic’ approach to legal issues
Team oriented with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team
