Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution required
2+ years of AEC industry experience
Experience in MEP consulting demonstrating project-level skills
Aptitude for designing HVAC systems, air distribution systems, and hydronic systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit required
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build collaborative relationships with team members, clients, and vendors

Job Responsibility

Design basic HVAC systems with guidance, including air distribution systems, hydronic systems, steam systems, and control systems
Perform heating and cooling load calculations, ventilation calculations, and system sizing calculations
Size, select, and schedule mechanical HVAC equipment
Layout equipment rooms and coordinate air and hydronic distribution systems with other building systems
Participate in coordination with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
Review contractor product data submittals and shop drawings and assist with construction administration activities
Attend construction site walk-throughs with senior engineers and contribute to field observation reports
Gain an understanding of ColeBreit’s design standards, project delivery process, and team structure
Build relationships with project team members and learn company drafting and modeling standards
Begin supporting active projects through calculations, drafting, modeling, and design coordination activities
