Job Responsibility
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, supporting effective client relations and patient care
Coordinate the scheduling of clinic appointments for perioperative and interventional services
Proactively call patients to schedule pre-operative appointments
Scan and manage patient records to ensure accuracy and accessibility
Collaborate directly with healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners
Assist with schedule management, including moving patients and optimizing appointment grids
Generate essential reports for various operational areas
Manage case intake and scheduling processes
Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls with professionalism and empathy
Maintain consistent patient follow-up after procedures to ensure continuity of care
Schedule new and returning patient appointments, including those for diagnostic studies and clinic visits
Manage and upload medical images to relevant systems
Obtain and process medical records efficiently
Scan and distribute external medical records
Actively participate in weekly staff meetings
Cross-train across all job functions to support team rotation and comprehensive service delivery
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Basic PC skills, including proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets)
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
Familiarity with computer systems and software relevant to functional areas
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, appropriate for a professional healthcare setting
Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service, solve problems effectively, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to adjust communication style to meet the needs and understanding level of diverse individuals
Capacity to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations
Strong ability to foster relationships, build trust with providers, nurses, staff, and patients, and thrive in a collaborative team environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks efficiently
