Job Description

We are partnering with a leading regional health system to bring on INPATIENT MEDICAL CODERS for a fully remote contract opportunity supporting a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform inpatient coding across a variety of specialties including: Cardiology
  • Neurology
  • Surgical cases
  • Transplants
  • NICU and more
  • Ensure accurate and timely coding in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Meet productivity and quality benchmarks in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • CCS required (RHIT or RHIA also considered)
  • 3+ years of inpatient coding experience
  • Experience in an academic medical center or trauma setting preferred
  • Strong background in multi-specialty inpatient coding
  • Epic (EHR) experience
  • 3M encoder experience
  • Productivity: ~2.4 charts per hour
  • Accuracy: 95%+
