Department: 34007 Enterprise Corporate - Inpatient Clinical Informatics. Status: Full time. Benefits Eligible: Yes. Hours Per Week: 40. Schedule Details/Additional Information: Typically, Monday through Friday, first shift, hybrid through the Great Charolette area. Some projects or needs require work during atypical hours such as weekends or nights.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as a subject matter expert for the EHR and provide in-depth support to the entire inpatient care team
Tackles multiple complex clinical workflow issues, troubleshoots system issues and guide users through hundreds of complex clinical workflows
Communicate and Collaborate with IT team to address technical challenges and enhance system functionality
Performs advanced troubleshooting support and complex issue resolution
Help to identify tactics to manage change related to technology adoption
Provides basic reporting tool assistance to end users
Conducts complex clinical operational/technical needs and workflow analysis
Implement evidence based practices and drive continuous improvement
Provides ongoing support and ensures successful implementation, administration and documentation of new upgrades, releases and enhancements
Partners to develop and implement education training programs
Mentor and coach other clinical informatics teammates
Serves as an initial point of escalation to end user requests for assistance
Assist in onboarding of new Clinicians
Works in partnership with interdisciplinary teams and site and regional governance groups to identify opportunities for optimization
Develops and maintains key partnerships with site/market/regional leaders and senior leadership
Is able to participate in and lead EHR analysis and design sessions
Assist the training team in delivering virtual training sessions for clinical staff as assigned
Requirements:
Epic Clinical Module Certification or attained within 1 year of hire
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Nursing or other related healthcare field
3-5 Years Clinical Experience with extensive experience in the use of clinical technology systems OR 3 Years Clinical Informatics Experience
Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical information to non-technical users
Analytical mindset with the ability to proactively identify areas for improvement
Passion for healthcare technology and a commitment to advancing patient care
Ability to lead in all phases of the clinical information system life cycle
Nice to have:
Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare or IT
Licensed Clinical Professional Preferred
ANCC or non-nursing certification equivalent in informatics
