Job Description:

At Fiskars, innovation is more than a process—it’s a mindset shaped over 375 years of design leadership. As we look ahead, we’re seeking an Innovation Manager who can help define what’s next: someone who blends strategic thinking, category insight, and forward-looking analysis to guide where we play, how we win, and what opportunities shape our future. This role is ideal for a strategic, analytical, and future-oriented leader—someone who sees patterns before others do, uses data to illuminate possibilities, and provides thought leadership that shapes category direction and long-term product strategy. You’ll lead category-level innovation strategy, shaping how Fiskars identifies opportunities, evaluates future needs, and defines long-term growth pathways.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and drive category innovation strategy, including opportunity mapping, whitespace identification, and long-range portfolio exploration
  • Provide thought leadership by scanning emerging trends, technologies, and consumer behaviors to define strategic implications for the category
  • Build and articulate future scenarios and strategic frameworks that guide investment, prioritization, and competitive differentiation
  • Use consumer, market, and business data to generate actionable insights that shape category direction
  • Develop strategic recommendations that influence product roadmaps, concept direction, and portfolio choices
  • Partner with product, design, engineering, and commercial teams to align category strategy with downstream execution
  • Translate future-focused insights into clear strategic narratives that inspire decision-making across the organization
  • Turn ambiguity into structured thinking, and structure into strategic direction

Requirements:

  • Experience in category strategy, innovation strategy, future foresight, or product/portfolio insights
  • Strong ability to synthesize data, identify emerging patterns, and frame strategic implications
  • A thought leader’s mindset—able to see beyond the immediate brief and shape long-term direction
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, asking the right questions, and clarifying complex problem spaces
  • Strong critical thinking and storytelling skills, connecting insight to clear strategic recommendations
  • A proactive, self-directed approach—you create clarity, momentum, and alignment without being asked
What we offer:
  • Competitive Compensation
  • Health and Wellness programs and coverage
  • Work-Life Balance with paid time off plans and flexible work arrangements
  • Professional Development through training programs, skill development initiatives and learning resources
  • Inclusive and Diverse Environment
  • Recognition and Rewards programs
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP)
  • Employee Discounts across our brands
