Actively engage in supporting our team during a vulnerable time in their lives to facilitate return to work. Partner with key stakeholders and own your own portfolio in this strategic role. Permanent opportunity, based in Mulgrave. We partner with Team Members, Leaders, Healthcare Providers and Claims Teams to ensure Team Members feel listened to, valued and supported”.

Job Responsibility:

  • Guide Team Members through their recovery
  • Deliver best-practice injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work strategies
  • Own portfolio and caseload including early intervention and workers' compensation claims
  • Collaborate with Line Leaders, TPA, and healthcare providers to lead return-to-work plans
  • Support stakeholders in achieving positive outcomes
  • Support network in Melbourne
  • Partner with peers on other BUs as required
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive strategies and ensure early engagement in treatment, claims management, return to work, redeployment and claim closure
  • Engage with operational teams to provide training and mentoring in managing return to work and relevant legislative compliance
  • Provide support to operational teams in resolving injury management issues and in developing strategies for improvement and intervention
  • Focus on the management of a RTW portfolio to ensure they continue to meet legislative and self-insurance obligations
  • Coordination of audits on return to work files
  • Maintain regular engagement and develop strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to internal stakeholders aligned to metrics and performance

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of workers’ compensation and injury management
  • Specifically in claims management end-to-end
  • Ideally with some exposure to self-insurance
  • Allied health qualifications will be very highly regarded (OT, EP, Physio)
  • Deep understanding of return to work and rehabilitation best practices
  • Solid understanding of workers’ compensation self-insurance regimes, requirements and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to run injury management and return to work matters end-to-end
  • Knowledge of creating and implementing sound strategic workers compensation and injury care practices
  • Comfort in working independently on casework
