Job Description

As an Injury Care Partner, you'll guide Team Members through their recovery, delivering best-practice injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work strategies. You'll manage a caseload that includes early intervention and workers' compensation claims, collaborating with Line Leaders, our TPA, and healthcare providers to lead return-to-work plans and support stakeholders in achieving positive outcomes.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to drive strategies and ensure early engagement in treatment, claims management, return to work, redeployment and claim closure with our TPA
  • Engage with operational teams to provide training and education in managing return to work and relevant legislative compliance
  • Provide support to operational teams in resolving injury management issues and in developing strategies for improvement and intervention
  • Focus on the management of a RTW portfolio to ensure they continue to meet legislative and self-insurance obligations and coordination of audits on return to work files
  • Maintain regular engagement and develop strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders including and not limited to
  • Third Party Administrator, Rehabilitation Providers, Treating Health Professionals, etc.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to your internal stakeholders aligned to our metrics and performance

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the field of workers’ compensation and injury management, specifically in claims management end-to-end, and ideally with some exposure to self-insurance
  • Allied health qualifications will be very highly regarded (OT, EP, Physio, Rehab)
  • Deep understanding of return to work and rehabilitation best practices, able to devise and adapt strategies for individuals based on medical and workplace information
  • Solid understanding of workers’ compensation self-insurance regimes, requirements and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to run injury management and return to work matters end-to-end

Nice to have

  • Allied health qualifications (OT, EP, Physio, Rehab)
