Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Moulding Engineer/Plant Manager, these roles will involve working as part of the engineering team in all aspects of the injection moulding process.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform equipment maintenance, both on tooling and machines to maximise process up-time
  • Troubleshooting capability
  • Set up next production run and liaise with quality inspectors until components have passed
  • Work with Quality Team and Engineers if issues arise throughout the run
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork
  • Knowledge of Hot Runner systems in tooling
  • Experience working with a wide variety of plastics and mould types
  • Manage tool changes and process set-ups as directed to meet production schedule
  • Ability to debug and take corrective action on moulds and processes as necessary
  • Assist with validation work on new, transferred or modified tools
  • Carry out maintenance on ancillary equipment
  • Report on process and technical issues

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role/environment
  • Support the development of documentation, training and work instruction activities within Injection Moulding
  • Strong knowledge of Injection Moulding, ancillary equipment, processing and robotic and automation systems
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and control systems desirable
  • Excellent IT, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning and organising skills

Nice to have

  • Language: Irish an advantage
