We are representing a global leader in the medical device industry is seeking an Injection Molding Engineer to drive the development and optimization of high-precision molding processes. This role is vital for ensuring the manufacturability and quality of life-critical medical components. The Role You will be responsible for the end-to-end injection molding lifecycle, from new project development and DOE execution to daily production support and equipment maintenance. You will ensure all processes remain compliant with international medical standards such as ISO 13485 and GMP. Based in Malaysia.
Job Responsibility:
Formulate technical solutions and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) to establish robust process windows
Continuously improve molding parameters to enhance product yield and equipment efficiency
Lead trial moldings, acceptance, and optimization of new molds
Supervise periodic maintenance plans for injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure stable production
Develop and maintain process technical documents while providing training to production teams
Execute complete process validations, including IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols
Analyze and resolve complex molding defects and quality issues during production
Requirements:
Associate degree or higher in Polymer Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or Mold Design
5 years in injection molding and mold engineering
At least 3 years of experience in the medical device industry is preferred, specifically with implantable devices or high-value consumables
Proficient in the operation, debugging, and maintenance of injection molding machines
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, UG) for viewing drawings and making minor modifications
Deep understanding of medical-grade polymer materials and their processing characteristics
Experience working in a cleanroom environment is highly preferred
Strong cross-cultural communication skills with fluency in English
