The role of an Injection Mold Machine Operator in Burlington is central to the success of our client's plastic manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the end-to-end operation of complex injection molding equipment, ensuring that all products meet precise technical specifications. This manufacturing & logistics position requires a blend of technical skill and physical stamina. As an Injection Mold Machine Operator, your day-to-day will involve high-level machine setup, meticulous troubleshooting, and the execution of rapid changeovers to minimize downtime. Working within the manufacturing & logistics framework, you will be part of a team that values efficiency, precision, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance.
Job Responsibility:
Execute full machine operation, including start-up and shutdown procedures for injection molding equipment
Perform precise machine setup and tooling changeovers according to production schedules
Conduct real-time troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical or quality issues promptly
Maintain accurate daily documentation and production logs to track machine performance
Complete routine preventative maintenance checks to ensure equipment longevity and safety
Perform daily and weekly sanitizing of all equipment to meet industry cleanliness standards
Issue formal work orders for any machine, mold, or safety issues discovered during your shift
Oversee the packaging and tagging of finished plastic products to ensure logistical accuracy
Maintain a clean and organized workspace (5S) to promote a safe manufacturing & logistics environment
Monitor raw material levels (resins/colorants) and replenish as needed for continuous operation
Requirements:
Proven expertise in mechanical troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
Strong manual dexterity and the ability to handle tools required for machine changeovers
Excellent attention to detail for monitoring product quality and documentation
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing & logistics environment
Strong communication skills to report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions
Basic computer literacy for entering production data and generating work orders
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night or afternoon shifts
Must be able to work 12 hour continental shifts
Must be able to work rotating days/nights every 2 weeks
