Reporting to the Manager, Feed & Ingredient Logistics, the Ingredient Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring uninterrupted feed mill production by planning, ordering and coordinating the timely delivery of raw materials and ingredients. This position works closely with production, nutrition, local grain growers, and vendors to maintain accurate inventory levels and support period-end reporting. Job Responsibility:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate all incoming bulk and micro ingredients for the feed mill, including load scheduling and vendor communication
Maintain adequate inventory levels at all times, avoiding both shortages and overfills, and serve as the go-to contact on ingredient supply
Collaborate with Feed Production and Feed Logistics teams to understand and plan for any upcoming demand changes
Communicate directly with vendors to influence delivery scheduling and resolve delays, shortages, or quality concerns
Create and issue purchase orders against existing contracts, ensuring accurate pricing, quantities, and proper contract drawdown
Investigate and resolve inventory, contract, and pricing variances
Play an active role in month-end and period-end inventory counts and reconciliations
Collaborate with Feed Manufacturing, Purchasing, Nutrition, and local grain growers to resolve issues and identify process improvements
Requirements:
Minimum two years' experience in supply chain, logistics coordination, or inventory planning
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet production, logistics, and inventory goals
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and database management
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a time-sensitive environment
Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
Experience working in an SAP environment (preferred)
Background in manufacturing, agriculture, or food production (preferred)
