Job Responsibility:
Installation of all flow media, vacuum, feed lines, and bagging material
Perform startup procedures in preparation for lamination which involves, identify various molds that are to be infused, locate materials and kits
Work with various resins, fiberglass materials, and structural adhesives
Work with the vacuum infusion process
Troubleshoot errors in the infusion process and uncover any possible leaks
Run and maintain the infusion pump
Laminate layers of fiberglass on molds by hand, roller, and brush working material into shape, removing air and smoothing surfaces
Apply bonding and structural stiffening materials according to blueprints and work instructions
Debag and prepare for secondary bonding
Follow housekeeping and safety procedures
Requirements:
Should be able to use a variety of hand tools, razor knives, scissors, power tools, and overhead hoists
Should be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature
Should be able to work a 10-hour shift standing, bending, and lifting
Should be able to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
Have the flexibility to work overtime both planned and unplanned to meet company goals
Should have strong attention to detail
Should be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods
Should be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits
Should follow all safety standards and procedures
Should adhere to all quality standards and adhere to new standards as processes evolve
Should demonstrate a record of dependability and reliability with prior work experience
Should be able to work well with teams and in close proximity to each other
Should be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions
Nice to have:
Skills in fiberglass and resin preferred
