The Infusion Scheduler plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations within the infusion clinic by coordinating patient appointments, supporting communication between patients and clinical staff, and managing front‑office workflow.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate infusion appointments, pre‑treatment testing, follow‑up visits, and schedule adjustments
Manage a high volume of incoming calls, identify patient needs, and route calls appropriately
Update and maintain accurate patient records, insurance details, authorizations, and referral information
Collect co‑pays and assist patients with billing or financial counseling needs
Maintain provider and infusion chair schedules, including timing, staffing needs, and treatment blocks
Communicate appointment changes, instructions, and preparation requirements to patients
Ensure confidentiality and adherence to all clinic procedures and compliance standards
Provide general front‑desk support and assist with administrative tasks as needed
May help coordinate external testing, procedures, or pre‑certifications required before infusion treatment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ years of healthcare office or clinical scheduling experience (non‑dental required)
Experience with EMR systems preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work compassionately with patients undergoing treatment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Nice to have:
Experience with EMR systems
Background in medical assisting or clinical scheduling
