Job Responsibility
Perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status
also nutrition, pain, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy
Formulate a goal-directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes
Implement care in a thorough, skillful, and consistent manner
Establish priorities for patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies
Evaluate the effectiveness of care given by health team members
Document patient care and unit activities in a timely, accurate and concise manner
Effectively communicate with patients, staff, and providers
Identify patient/family learning needs and implement appropriate measures, including teach-back
Demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to patient/family rights, age-specific needs, cultural and ethical beliefs
Deliver care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner that preserves/protects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights
Requirements
Associate Of Nursing
Two (2) years general RN experience
Registered Nurse: AZ
Basic Life Support - AHA BLS
Cancer Chemotherapy Provider (CCHEMOP) within 12 months
IV clinical skills
Demonstrated competency in basic EKG skills by passing the EKG test or completing basic EKG class/modules - within 6 months
