This is a non-oncology infusion role, with a primary focus on biologics, hydration therapy, iron infusions, and other non-chemotherapy medications. The ideal candidate has excellent IV skills, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering safe, patient-centered care. The Clinical Nurse (CN) is an RN who provides hands-on care to patients, practicing in an evidence-based manner, within the Scope of Practice of the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory requirements, standards of care, and hospital policies.
Job Responsibility:
Administer non-oncology infusion therapies such as biologics (e.g., infliximab, vedolizumab), hydration fluids, IV iron, and supportive medications
Perform IV insertions and manage vascular access devices (e.g., peripheral lines, PICCs, chest ports)
Monitor patients during and after infusion for reactions and ensure appropriate interventions as needed
Educate patients and caregivers about their treatment plans and home care instructions
Document care and medication administration in Epic accurately and in a timely manner
Collaborate with providers, pharmacists, and care coordinators to support safe and efficient clinic workflows
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support onboarding of new infusion staff

Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of ICU, ED and/or Onc experience
Critical Care background Preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred
Able to communicate effectively in English
Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
